The key to my induction this time around is to drink a TON of water – I think this not only makes us pee a lot which is awesome to remove toxins and drop weight while in ketosis but it rehydrates your body and helps eliminate ‘stuff’ that has been sitting around. I am eating about 5 eggs a day, also chicken, spinach and lots of water. Tonight is Steak, sauteed spinach, sauteed mushrooms and some basic salad – I love eating this way and hope it continues making me feel this great!
Here is the whole story. my son had been sick for about 4 days and not able to keep any food down, this past Friday my wife texted me and told me she was leaving early because she had vomited at work, I thought “oh boy! weekend fun times” I went to cvs and got anti everything and headed home. after putting my wife to bed and making my son fall asleep from my reading I them relaxed and watched some late night tv. that’s when my stomach began gurgling, then rumbling, I made a small salad and made a turkey burger ad went to sleep not too much later. around 3am i awoke from a dream of mr being I’ll only to realize I WAS sick! ugh
without the details i spent two days expelling everything I had ever eaten lol
yesterday I felt a little better an even though it isn’t low carb I ate some saltines and today I began another rung of induction. I feel this will be different this time around since i am ’empty’
I am waiting for the lirr right now, I have a salad packed, water at work and ready to restart after my sickness. tonight will be spinach and steak and this morning was 3 eggs, bacon and a fork lol

I stuck to eating low carb and only strayed with a couple glasses of red wine and some champagne! yeah!!
I am feeling horribly dehydrated and wow alcohol hits us hard on low carb huh? lol.
so tomorrow is a huge salad with turkey. I will post what’s for dinner when I figure it out

Well I passed the two week mark and feel pretty darn good! Lots of water, green veggies, yummy steaks and lovely eggs ( I love brown eggs more and more lately) I am also craving spicier and spicier food so lots of jalepenos on burger patties with some cheddar cheese mmmmm. I will try to post again before the new year but aside from some red wine, a little champagne and perhaps a few light carbs I will be sticking to low carb in the beginning and throughout 2011. Hey everyone! I wanted to just drop a note to let you guys know I’m still in induction and the clothes are fitting better, energy is up and I am drinking tons of water which i feel is the key to this woe. I am on the lirr heading home from work and geez, I know they say the paper business is dying but wow are we busy in my NYC office. i found an Asian place that makes super clean foods and will make things for me to order which I love 🙂 today was green peppers, steak, onions and broccoli stirfried and some hot mustard and soy sauce yum and only $6! and that’s in midtown!
anyway, Sunday we are going to my sister inlaws house and she is getting a sushi platter for us but I’ll pick out the fish and try my best to get through the meal lol. my wife is with me this time during induction and wow, she is doing really wonderfully! we may stray for new years but only for 12 hours and not overindulging, just indulging 🙂 its like a mental clearing but we NEED to get right back on that horse so please yell at me if i stray lol
on a different topic, anyone try p90x? my brother in law is swearing by it it said it’s tough, I’m going to do the 90 days beginning the second Saturday of 2011, let me know what think. well my stop is coming up and it’s almost 11pm, the wife hates my late nights as do I. 🙁 but it’s money right? I really miss my son Ramiel when I work late too but I’ll have a nice three day weekend to have a blast with him, cant believe he is two a half already. eeks 🙂
I say weirdness but it’s the craving for things I don’t even like. I like this part of induction – when your body switches over from a sugar laden starch munching machine to a carbohydrate hating machine while burning away inches and pounds.
I was starving tonight so I made by dear wife and I a messy beefy concoction – ground beef browned, onion powder, some garlic, handful of celery, green bell ‘peppas’ and some organic Hunts tomato sauce (lowest in carbs and no added nuthin’) and just let is simmer for like 30 minutes, topped with some shredded cheddar, some jalapenos (for me) and a small dollop of sour cream. Needless to say we were STUFFED and the craving went away – it was a touch salty but I need some more water tonight anyway – I’ll try to post some pics of my food in the future.
