You guys. Literally. Have to try this soup. Ugh, I've been watching too much Parks and Rec recently, and I'm stuck talking like Chris Traeger when I get pumped up about things.
But really, the soup was one of the best, most savory soups I've ever had. It definitely doesn't skimp on the fat or calories, though. With the hen, all I did was stuff its butt with spinach and cream cheese, and I slathered some olive oil and lemon juice on it and sprinkled rosemary on top. Mushroom was store bought and just filled with different cheeses and herbs.
I'm feeling pretty happy about this dinner! Shockingly, my little brother actually ate something with avocado in it because the soup turned out well. Keto has made me go from a college kid living off fast food to exploring cooking and treating myself to a meal like this every now and then!

I just started doing Keto, today is my first day, and I already feel like it's the right thing to do. (Maybe I'll change my mind when keto flu hits?)
I need to lose 100 lbs, and I have tried A LOT of diets. My husband always said he supported me in those, but they always failed. Maybe because of the amount of junk food in the house, and my lack of willpower. Ok, not maybe, definitely.
Then I found the keto subreddit. I think this will work for me, but my husband is adamant that I not do it. He's a Type 1 diabetic and he's been hospitalized for diabetic ketoacidosis. I've told him this isn't the same thing. I've tried to get him to read the Faq's, but he just won't. He thinks keto is dangerous and could put me in the hospital. He just told me he will not support me in this diet.
Does anyone know what I can say to get him on board? Anyone with a similar issue? Can this be done without the support of family and friends?

Just put a pork shoulder in the slow cooker and I'm looking for a great keto friendly cole slaw recipe. Preferably one that has no artificial sweeteners or ingredients I'd have to order from amazon. I've done a little searching already and everything I find is calling for weird sugar substitutes I've never heard of. I could easily coat some cabbage in mayo and call it cole slaw, but I figured someone out there has a better idea. Little help?
